NGO distributes blankets to the needy

Chandigarh, January 13, 2022: Society for Divine Reiki Meditation (NGO) in association with Student for Sewa Wing of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Chandigarh organised a Blanket Distribution drive to the needy. Around 200 Blankets were distributed to the persons sleeping in corridors of Sector 27, 19 and 18 markets.

Davesh Moudgil, Ex Mayor, joined the drive. He appreciated the initiative taken by students and assured them full support in future. Mehak Singh, Convenor Student for Sewa Wing of ABVP stated that she was touched by the sight of people sleeping in corridors of Shops in winter.

She said that while we all are asleep in our cosy rooms, these needy persons are homeless and spend the night in the open without warm clothes. With the thought of providing warmth to such persons, the drive was initiated, she added.
Jasjeet Suri Spokesperson, Society for Divine Reiki Meditation (NGO) extended gratitude to all for contributing for Blankets. He said that he was glad to see the teenagers coming forward for this noble cause to selflessly serve the society.This spirit of youth is very important for society building, he added
