Chandigarh,sept,17,:remaining 2 main accused Arjun,S/o Janak Raj, R/o Dhang Ghudai, Village Shahi Majra, PS Phase 1,Mohali And Arjun, S/o Gopal, R/o Village Mataur, Mohali in the sensational case of Robbery, that took place on Tuesday dated 07.09.2021, in sector-27, Chandigarh.

On 07.09.2021 in the afternoon information was received in the PS Sector 26, Chandigarh, through police control room that quarrel had taken place in Sector-27/D, Chandigarh. On this information the Police party reached at the spot where the complainant met the police party and gave her statement that she is living as a tenant in the house and she ordered some furniture for her home through one Manohar Singh, R/o # 486, Sector- 16, Dashmesh Nagar, from Rama Industries F-39, Ph-7, Mohali, Pb. On 30.08.2021 four boys came to drop the ordered furniture to her house. On 07.09.2021 at about 2,30 PM she was sitting in her house and the main door was open for maid. In the mean while three (3) boys forcibly entered in her house and pushed her and asked her not to shout. Out of the three boys one boy went to the kitchen and took a knife and threatened her to give all her cash, ATM and other valuable articles. The other boys stood near her and called the main accused by the name Arjun, to check all the rooms. They robbed her of cash nearly about Rs. 6 Lakh, ATM, etc. On the basis of the said information, FIR No. 174, dated 07.09.2021, u/s 354,452,394 IPC, 1860 was registered at PS-26 against Arjun @ Nepali and 2 others and Section 397 IPC, was added subsequently.

On the direction of SSP Sh. Kuldeep Singh Chahal, joint team of Police Station 26 and Operation cell was constituted, which was headed by SP City Sh. Ketan Bansal and comprising DSP East S. Gurmukh Singh, Inspector Jasbir Singh, SHO PS 26 and Inspector Amanjot, I/C Operation Cell.

In the past 2 accused have already been arrested in the case. Prem@ Motu has been arrested on 10.09.2021 from shahi majra and accused Sunil @ Sunny @Bihari was arrested from near bus stand 43, Chandigarh on 11.09.2021. Auto used in the crime has already been recovered and an amount of Rs 11,000/- in total and 1 apple air pod has also been recovered from them.

Today on the secret information a joint team of Police Station Sector-26 and operation cell was constituted under the supervision SDPO East S. Gurmukh Singh, team headed by SHO PS 26 Inspector Jasbir Singh and I/C Operation Cell Inspector Amanjot Singh. The informer informed that the 2 accused who were yet to arrested in the Sector 27 robbery case can be apprehended as they are coming to Chandigarh. 

On this information nakka was led near bus stand sector-43 and both the accused were arrested on the identification of the informer. In the disclosure statement Arjun S/o Janak Raj and Arjun Shrestha confessed the crime they had done along with the other 2 accused. They further stated that after they flee from the crime spot they went to Phase 1 mohali by hiring an auto and purchased new clothes and shoes from the looted money and went straight to his sister's house in Mundi Kharar. After spending some time and getting rakhi tied from her sister they went to Bus Stand to catch a bus for Bhunter(HP). Before leaving for bhunter, Himachal Pradesh they had stayed in a hotel in sector-52, Chandigarh for 3 hours. They had never seen so much money together so they thought of living a very lavish life by spending the money on stating in expensive Hotel, buying contrabands, getting tattoo for themselves, getting hair bonding, hair coloring, hiring cab, etc. They went to kasol (HP) and stayed there in a high end hotel to fulfill their drugs need. During these days they roamed to a lot of places in himachal in a taxi instead of a bus as they were enjoying the luxurious life which they got by spending the robbed money. An amount of Rs 40,000/- of the robbed money has been recovered from their possession.
