Cyber Crime Investigation Cell of Chandigarh Police has achieved a major success

Chandigarh:Aug.26:Cyber Crime Investigation Cell of Chandigarh Police has achieved a major success in arresting two accused from Delhi. For this SP/CCIC formed a special team of CCIC under the supervision of DSP/CCIC headed by Incharge/CCIC in case FIR No. 132 dt. 11.7.2020 u/s 419, 420, 120B IPC PS-34, Chandigarh regarding Insurance fraud

case registered on the complaint of a lady that she was cheated on the pretext of providing insurance bonus etc. She deposited approx 41 lakh in different accounts as directed by fraudsters but no amount was disbursed to her. Later on fraudsters switched off their mobile phones. During investigation accused 1. Aashish Gupta s/o Dev Datt Gupta R/o H.No. 546, C/1, Rishi Nagar, Shiv Mandir Gali, Rani Bagh, New Delhi Age 29 Years, (he got credited an amount Rs 2,80,000 in his account and 1 lakh in his brother's account) 2. Shiv nath s/o Jagdish Thakur, R/o Naharpur, sector 7, Rohani, Delhi. (Amount Rs. 8 lakh 40 thousand was credited in his IDBI account at Delhi) have been arrested from Delhi on 25.8.21. They were produced in court and 3 days police remand of both accused has been obtained.
