Chandigarh, February 23, 2026: Fitness met festivity and culture blended with luxury living as nearly 1,000 runners came together for the first-ever marathon of New Chandigarh –Opus1Run New Chandigarh Marathon. The run transformed the city’s most scenic, traffic-free roads into a celebration of lifestyle, wellness and Punjabi spirit.
The marathon was organised by GB Realty as part of its flagship Opus One luxury residential vision.

In a significant highlight, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had earlier unveiled the official jersey of the marathon, underlining the importance of sports and healthy lifestyles in the state’s vision.
The marathon was flagged off from Doon International School and featured multiple race categories, including full marathon, half marathon, 10 km and 5 km runs. Beyond competition, the event stood out for its immersive cultural environment, festive Punjabi ambience and community participation.
Adding to the celebratory atmosphere, international kite flying activities captivated participants and spectators alike, reinforcing the event’s positioning as a lifestyle festival rather than just a race.
