Chandigarh, 18th September :College Unit of Microbiologists Society, India & Zoological Society of DAV College, Sector 10, Chandigarh today organized Inter-College Quiz, Declamation, Rangoli & Poster Competitions and a Seminar to mark International Microrganisms Day 2024. Dr. Swarnjit Singh, who is a Former Scientist & Director SAS Free Polyclinic was the Guest of Honour for the inaugural session. Investiture Ceremony of the new student executive of MBSI unit was also held. Student President Tanvi, Vice President Pareesh & Secretary Anish Dutta of the college unit were given the
badges by Principal Dr. Jyotirmaya Khatri, Head of the Zoology Department Dr. Kulvir Dhindsa and the staff. Dr. Anmoldeep Randhawa from Amity University Mohali, was the Resource Person for the technical session chaired by Dr. Kakoli Biswas , HOD Biotechnology Department of the college. Topic for the talk was ‘The Dawn of Bio Era- Synthetic way of life’. Prize distribution ceremony concluded the event.
