Mohali, November 11, 2022: Innovation Mission Punjab, a unique private-public partnership that aims to build, empower and act as a catalyst for local startup communities in Punjab, held Startup Day at Kalikat Bhavan, Mohali. IMPunjab assisted 50+ start-up entrepreneurs by introducing them to stakeholders that are experts and mentors from the industry with deep knowledge and experience in their respective domains, in Punjab. Through the session, they also learned about various growth opportunities available to them.
Start-up Day commenced by cross-leveraging the people from the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the state of Punjab to share their experiences and provide regional mentorship to young entrepreneurs. Incubator heads, industrialists, and guided entrepreneurs whose start-ups are in the early stage for future growth and development. The participants received constructive and valuable feedback on their start-up ideas and began their entrepreneurial journey with the Mission.
Talking about the event, Abhishek Purohit, Head - Accelerator at IMPunjab said, “Start-up day marked the beginning of start-ups’ entrepreneurial journey with the Innovation Mission Punjab. The Punjabi diaspora is filled with people that have innovative ideas and immense talent. We strive to offer this talent pool with a rich network of industry professionals that can guide and help these entrepreneurs reach their full potential.”
The jury panel at Start-up Day, Mohali, consisted of industry experts such as Param Kalra, Dilsher Sukhija, Abhay Chopra and Shreya Mahindru and various regional entrepreneurs and start-up enablers including Simarpreet Singh, founder of Hartek Group apart from our start-up heroes Anurag Mishra, and Anubhi Khandelwal.
Start-up day gives youngpreneurs a chance to begin their entrepreneurial journey with Innovation Mission Punjab. More than 900+ start-ups are already onboard, 250+ have received support and 16 start-ups are nearly completing their journey with the accelerator program.
