Chandigarh Police achieved success by busting fraudster gang, who cheated the innocent persons by alluring them to provide jobs in Chandigarh, Haryana & Punjab and taken money from them by giving fake joining letters/ ID card.
On 2.4.2021, complainant Gangandeep S/o Puran R/o Vill Dedhna, Teh- Patran, Distt Patiala, PB reported that he came into contact of alleged person and they allured him to provide the job of Forest Guard. Complainant along with his friend Makhan Singh has given Rs 2 Lacs to them and they gave joining letter to complainant. Later on, he verified from concerned deptt, but there was no vacancy found in Forest Department. Thus, he came to know that the alleged have duped them by providing fake joining letter & taking money from them. He further stated that today alleged persons called them at ISBT-43 to give ID card of Forest Guard.
On receipt of complaint, Case FIR No. 63 dt. 2.4.21 u/s 420,467,468,471,474,120-B, IPC, PS-36 was registered and a special team under the supervision of Ms Shruti Arora, IPS, ASP/South, led by Insp. Maninder Singh, SHO/36 was constituted to apprehend the said fake job network/gang. The team succeeded in nabbing 03 accused Balbir Singh S/o Nand Singh R/o Vill Neelowal, Tehsil Sunam, Distt. Sangrur, PB Age 45 yrs, Gopal Singh @ Harman S/o Ran Singh R/o Flat No. 314, Paradise Apartment, New Sunny Enclave, Kharar, Distt. Mohali Pb Age 35 yrs and Manoj S/o Surender Kumar H No 871, Sector 11, Kharar, Pb Age 41yrs from ISBT-43, Chandigarh.
Interrogation & Modus Oprandi:-
During interrogation, it revealed that the accused in connivance with each other are operating a gang, who is duping the innocent people on the false pretext of providing them job and taking money from them. They also admitted that they used to scan and prepare the fake documents in a laptop at their stations at Mansa & other places. A mobile was also recovered from their possession, in which the scanned PDF file of the said joining letter was present, which was sent by accused Balbir Singh to his associate Gopal Singh, who used to take printout of the same and give to their clients. Some fake documents of different departments have also been recovered from them.
Today, all accused have been produced before the Court and obtained 02 days police remand to ascertain their network/associates & their further activities, if any.
