Amity University-Mohali hosts National Pharma Convention

Mohali: Amity School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (ASPS), in collaboration with the Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), successfully organised the National Pharma Convention: DRRIVE 2024 and a specialised workshop On Pharmacovigilance, Safety Assessment, and Digital Clinical Informatics.
The event commenced with a formal inauguration by Dr Indu Pal Kaur, Secretary of IPA and Professor at UIPS, Panjab University, Chandigarh, along with Dr Sandeep Arora, Dean FPS & Convenor, and other dignitaries, including Dr Arshia Bhandari and Dr Shaveta Nayyar. With over 250 participants from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, and other states, the event witnessed engaging technical activities such as e-paper and e-poster presentations, where 40 participants showcased their review and research findings. 

Additional sessions highlighted therapeutic SOPs, clinical algorithms, and pharmaceutical brand analysis, offering valuable insights into therapeutic guidelines and market trends. A parallel event titled “Podium for the Inspiring Critique”, organized by the Amity School of Liberal Arts and Cultural Studies (ASLC) under the leadership of Dr Bosudha Bandyopadhyay, allowed students to critically explore literature. Creative activities like rangoli and poster design competitions added a cultural flavor, making the convention vibrant and inclusive. The workshop featured expert sessions by Dr Arshia Bhandari, Associate Director at IQVIA, Ms Suvira Shah, Publishing Director at Springer Nature, and Dr Shaveta Nayyar, Principal Partner at DSN Consulting, Mumbai. These sessions provided participants with invaluable knowledge on pharmacovigilance, safety assessment processes, and digital clinical informatics, equipping them for future challenges in the pharmaceutical domain. 

The convention served as a vital platform for knowledge sharing, innovation, and skill development, fostering collaboration between academia and industry to shape the future of pharmaceuticals.
