GELP Canada conducted Global Marketplace for Career and Skill Development Summit at CIIS as part of its First Multi-City Tour of India

Mohali, December 4:To help emerging leaders develop sustainable skills, a Global Emerging Leadership Program, and professional development event for faculty, staff, and researchers was organized at the Continental Institute for International Studies (CIIS) campus, as part of the Global Emerging Leadership Programs (GELP)’s 2022 Global Marketplace for Career and Skill Development initiative. 
The program commenced with auspicious lamp lighting. The workshop was aimed specifically at imparting skills-based training that includes intercultural competencies and conflict resolution strategies that will help emerging leaders develop sustainable skills and become better leaders for the future. 
The sessions of this highly curated workshop were conducted by 20 global speakers from diverse backgrounds including distinguished professionals and academicians- Mr. Brock Dykeman – Director, CIIS, Mr. Elder Wilson Bearhead, Ms. Charlene Berhead, Mr. David Woodward, Ms. Shamshi Karim, Mr. Omar Karim, Mr. Joel Hampson, Mr. Mohit Payare, Mr. Seth Recalma, Mr. Kurtis Johnstone, Mr. Dustin King, Ms. Amber Lease, Ms. Megan Wolfe, Ms. Gwen O'Mahony, Mr. Karthik Chavan, Mr. Luke Nixon, Ms. Lyndsay Passmore, Dr. Ravi Raju, Mr. William George Sharp, and Ms. Srividhya Mouli. 
Ms. Amandeep Pahwa, Principal, CIIS – the international extension campus of top-notch institutions of Canada welcomed all the delegates to the leadership program and said, “We are delighted to welcome the GELP delegation from Canada to CIIS, and look forward to exploring opportunities to develop leadership skills among students.” She further added that the institution believes that the partnership between GELP and CIIS will help in providing the resources for overall skill development for the students to make them feel more confident and ready for the world!
Global Emerging Leadership Programs (GELP) is a Canada-based social enterprise aimed at developing leadership programs for students and young professionals. GELP provides professional guidance to students seeking their next post-secondary and career experience. GELP is one of the first organizations to offer in-person skills-based workshops with an Indigenous worldview in 9 cities across India.

All participants were awarded Global Summit Leadership Certificates at the end of the event.
