Delegation of various unions of the city met the Union Transport Minister, submitted a memorandum of pending demands

Chandigarh, : A delegation of various unions of the city—Association of Assistant Professors (Contractual), Government Colleges of Chandigarh and Class Four Union—under the banner of All Contractual Karamchari Sangh  Bharat (Regd.), UT Chandigarh, fighting for their pending demands, met Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari after a grand event in Delhi and submitted a memorandum.
Chairman of All Contractual Karamchari Sangh Bharat, Bipin Sher Singh apprised Shri Gadkari of the problems related to job security of about 2,500 contract and 17,500 outsourcing employees working in the Chandigarh Administration and Municipal Corporation. Meanwhile, Vice President of Association of Assistant Professors (Contractual) Chander Jaswal demanded a concrete policy to regularize the services of Assistant Professors working since 2010.

In the absence of any central policy for contractual employees, All Contractual Karamchari Sangh Bharat demanded job security till retirement on the lines of fellow states and job security for outsourcing employees by forming Kaushal Rojgar Nigam on the lines of Haryana and bringing it under the administration.

Apart from this, Class Four Union raised the demand for equal pay for equal work.

During the discussion, Chairman Bipin Sher Singh told the Union Minister that they are continuously fighting for their demands and have also held several meetings with senior officials, but the solution to the job security of contractual and outsourcing employees in Chandigarh has not been found yet.

On this occasion, Shri Nitin Gadkari assured the delegation of appropriate action on the issue of job security.

Bipin Sher Singh, Chander Jaswal, Dr. Narendra, Annu Kumar, Jani Kumar, Gurpreet Singh from the sectors of School Education, Higher Education and Technical Education and Mohammad Yunus from Mission Bharat were present in the meeting.
