Punjab Governor Inaugurates International Conference ‘Cosgynae-25’

Chandigarh, August 14, 2025: Punjab Governor Shri Gulab Chand Kataria inaugurated Cosgynae-25, a two-day international interdisciplinary conference focusing on advances in robotics in gynaecology, cosmetic gynaecology, and broader aspects of women’s health.  The event, organised jointly by the Indian Society of Aesthetic and Reconstructive Gynaecology (InSARG) and the tricity-based The Touch Clinic, has drawn over 300 delegates, including leading experts from India and abroad.

Dr Preeti Jindal, Director, The Touch Clinic and General Secretary of InSARG & renowned vascular surgeon Dr Ravul Jindal, who is the President of Vascular Society for Limb Salvage(VSLS) and Founder of Amputation Free India Campaign, felicitated the Governor. Several eminent doctors were honoured by the Governor for their outstanding contribution to healthcare and humanity. Shri Gulab Chand Kataria hailed Dr Preeti Jindal organizing chairperson of Cosgynae 2025 who is also a Senior Consultant Gynaecologist, IVF Specialist, High-Risk Pregnancy Expert, and Robotic Surgeon for putting the event together.

Delivering the welcome address, Cosgynae 25’s Dr Preeti Jindal – set the tone for the conference. Her keynote session on “Role of Robotics in Gynaecology”, especially “Basics of Robotics and Step-wise Robotic Hysterectomy”, was a major highlight. She also spoke on managing Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI) and Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause (GSM).

Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of the conference, Dr Preeti Jindal who is also General Secretary of InSARG outlined its core objective — advancing women’s health through innovation, collaboration, and global knowledge sharing. Dr Preeti was joined by international experts Dr. Ayman El Attar (USA) and Dr Fatima Al Hajerif (Dubai) during the media briefing.

“Our aim through the conference is to confabulate on cutting-edge technology and how this can provide personalised, compassionate care,” said Dr Preeti Jindal. Dr Preeti in reply to a media query on effectiveness of robotic surgery said, “Robotic gynaecological surgery has proven its precision and patients undergoing such surgery have shown quicker recovery.”

She also shared her perspective on the rising demand for cosmetic gynaecology and anti-ageing treatments, stressing safety, ethics, and patient well-being. Dr Preeti highlighted breakthrough developments that are shaping the future of minimally invasive women’s healthcare.

The scientific sessions too were aligned with the latest and best practices being employed in gynaecology worldwide. Some of such sessions included: ‘Vaginal Rejuvenation Reimagined – Evidence-based regenerative therapies and aesthetic applications’; ‘How to Increase Your Face Value in Menopause – Role of energy-based devices and fillers’; ‘Botox in Gynaecology and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy’; ‘High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) for vaginal rejuvenation’; and hair loss management, laser therapies, and early cancer detection techniques.

International participation enriched the conference, with Dr. Ayman El Attar speaking on surgical management of redundant clitoral hood for orgasmic dysfunction; Dr Fatima Al Hajerif discussing laparoscopy in infertility, and Dr. Hisham Arab addressing unmet aesthetic needs in PCOS.

Day 1 also featured discussions on sexual and reproductive health, infertility, fertility preservation, and emerging technologies in women’s health.

In parallel, hands-on workshops for young doctors are being conducted on: ‘Laser use in gynaecology PRP therapy’, ‘HIFU techniques’, ‘Botox applications’, and early cancer detection methods.

On the concluding day (August 15), the spotlight will be on Anti-Ageing and Regenerative Therapies, with Dr Preeti Jindal delivering the keynote ‘Reverse Ageing: A Step Closer to Immortality’.

Another highlight will be an interactive session on AI in IVF and Embryology, accompanied by the unveiling of a cutting-edge health tech app developed by a young AI expert Adit Jindal, designed for seamless patient record management.

The conference will conclude with the Presidential Handover Ceremony of InSARG, where Dr Jaideep Malhotra will assume the presidency, succeeding Dr Ragini Agrawal, who will be felicitated for her service.
