Chandigarh, July 9, 2025: Organized by Altura Sports, founded by brothers Vedant and Sarang Chatterjee, the Legacy League was held over two action-packed days on 5th and 6th July at Legacy Turf, Sector 27, Chandigarh. This highly anticipated Under-15 football tournament featured 9 competitive teams battling it out in a league-cum-knockout format.
The event was a huge success, praised for its professional execution, lively environment, and commitment to promoting youth sports. From live match scoring and refereeing to engaging stalls and media coverage, players and spectators experienced a truly premium tournament.
Royal FC claimed the title of tournament champions, with standout performances across both days. Arohan Grover of Royal FC was named Player of the Tournament, receiving premium earphones sponsored by Mobi Hut, while Himanshu earned the Goalkeeper of the Tournament award and was gifted brand-new gloves.
The awards and trophies were distributed by Mr. Manjit Singh, Business Head of Reliance Jio – Haryana Circle, who graced the event as Chief Guest and appreciated the young talent on display.
With certificates, medals, trophies, and ₹10,000 in cash prizes, Legacy League highlighted Altura Sports’ mission to nurture and celebrate future champions.
Royal FC defeated Velocity FC in the Legacy League final. The match ended 1-1 in regular time with Ganesh scoring for Royal FC and Aryan Chetri for Velocity. In penalties, Arohan and Chetan scored for Royal, while Ganesh missed. Royal FC won the shootout 2-1 to become champions.
