Celebrated Amrit Mahotsav

Chandigarh:The D.G.R. Senior Citizens Society Chandigarh's members and chairman S. Balbir Singh and president Sh. Pavinder Kumar Arora, under their guidance, celebrated the 70th Independence Day Amrit Mahotsav by planting 117 saplings.
All members planted 50 shady trees in the hospital area of Sector-32, Chandigarh.
Councillor and D.G.R. Family's chief guest Smt. Anju Katyal helped in planting and encouraging, and she said that she will provide all possible support to properly complete this project.
On this occasion, President Sh. Pavinder Kumar Arora said that our true wealth is oxygen, the lack of which will prove fatal for us. He emphasized planting 50 more trees, which will also improve the environment and provide relief from diseases.
Councillor Smt. Anju Katyal promised that she would always support such social and environmental projects.
Social worker and project head Smt. Prem Sachdeva also emphasized the importance and necessity of trees and said that they will always stand by them. Smt. Gurpreet Kaur said that in today's environment, celebrating Amrit Mahotsav every day is needed.
