The 5th Chandigarh Music and Film Festival Begins with a Grand Opening, Celebrating Cinema and Creativity

Chandigarh, April 27* : The 5th Chandigarh Music and Film Festival commenced with grand opening at the Municipal Bhavan in Sector-35A, Chandigarh, drawing a large crowd of film enthusiasts, students and emerging filmmakers. The festival witnessed the participation of industry professionals and renowned filmmakers, including Rahul Rawali, Nirmal Rishi, Ali Asgar, Priti Sapru, Inaamul Haq, Mushtaq Khan, Dibyendu Bhattaharya, Manish Wadhwa, Anang Desai, Sunita Dhir, Rupinder Rupi, Karamjit Anmol,  Seema Kausal, Malkeet Pauni, Vijay Patkar and Rajesh Sharma.
The opening day of the festival showcased a diverse array of feature films and short films, offering attendees a unique and interactive experience with leading filmmakers, actors, directors and producers. These discussions provided valuable insights into current trends and filmmaking techniques shaping the cinema industry.

Rajesh Sharma, Director of the Film Festival, said: "This festival is not just a celebration of cinema but a platform where stories, voices and creative visions from across the country come together. It's heartening to witness such overwhelming participation from both veterans and emerging talent."

The festival will continue on April 28 and 29, 2024, at Chandigarh University, offering additional screenings and interactive sessions with film industry professionals.
