Mohali, February 15, 2023: The ceremonial ‘Bhoomi Poojan’ and ground breaking ceremony of Mohali Industrial Economic Zone (MIEZ), a flagship project of Royale Estate Group (REG) on Banur-Tepla Road, was performed amid the chanting of holy Vedic Mantras. The pious occasion was attended jointly by top management of REG and SuryaCon, staff, investors, and channel partners.
“The Bhoomi Poojan and ground-breaking ceremony is a watershed moment in the journey of REG. REG has also entered into an understanding with Surya Contractors Pvt Limited to build and develop MIEZ,” said Parveen Kansal, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), REG. Adding further, Mr Parveen said that MIEZ is an ambitious 250-acre industrial project, which will be built in a phased manner and in Phase 1, 100 plus acres will be developed. Residential and commercial facilities shall be added in the next phase, he said.
Rajesh Mittal, Director of Surya Contractors Pvt Ltd, said, “We are extremely delighted to have joined hands with REG. We are going to use the best of architectural expertise and design to create MIEZ. We are determined to complete the project within six months. We will build robust infrastructure within MIEZ, which will be perfect for heavy vehicles of the industrial units that will come up in MIEZ." It is pertinent to mention that Surya Contractors Pvt Ltd, an ISO 9001:2015 certified company, headquartered in Mohali.
Ashish Mittal, Director of REG, said: "MIEZ land is strategically located on NH-205-A Manali, Ambala-Delhi highway. It is connected to NH-7 and NH-1 and has states like Punjab, Haryana & Himachal Pradesh adjoining it. It is near the Mohali International Airport and it is in close proximity to Dry Port at Sambhu. It is also very important to add that many industrialists from Chandigarh and Mohali have expressed their interest to set up their factories at MIEZ in the very near future."
Neeraj Kansal, Managing Director, REG, said, “We humbly put on record our gratitude to Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Mann ji, and his entire team for expediting necessary approvals for the project. MIEZ, is in sync with the vision of Invest Punjab. Several enterprises have already decided to have their setup at MIEZ.”
Piyush Kansal, another Director of Royale Estate Group, said: “MIEZ will be ultra-modern and will have an Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), Solid Waste Disposal, Skill Development Centre, R & D Centre, Tools and Equipment Room, and all type of civic amenities.”
Units being set up are slated to get many benefits under Invest Punjab. These include 100 per cent exemption of Stamp Duty, 100 per cent exemption of electricity duty for seven years, 100 per cent exemption from property tax and much more.
The idea behind MIEZ is also to provide a perfect and central place for setting up MSMEs'. The added advantage of having an MSME unit in MIEZ will be subsidies on total project cost on most of the sectors available, collateral free bank loans and more.
