Mohali, 22 August 2022: Innovation Mission Punjab (IMPunjab), a catalyst building and empowering the local startup communities to foster a startup revolution in Punjab, organised the second edition of its Incubator-Startup meet PINE (Punjab Incubators Network for Entrepreneurs) Matchmaking. The Atal Community Innovation Centre RISE, Chandigarh Group of Colleges Landran, Mohali hosted the event where startups showcased their ideas and sought expert advice and support from incubators.
This edition of PINE had 20 fresh startups from Agri/AgriTech, FoodTech, EdTech, and E-Commerce that sought guidance from 9 incubators. Parallel to a formal matchmaking event, PINE served as a platform where the select 9 Incubators interacted with these promising Startups. The platform allowed startups and incubators to align with each other based on the detailed interaction opportunity. Incubators could identify and connect with startups that they thought had potential.
IMPunjab’s flagship initiative, PINE Matchmaking is a quarterly event that connects various early-stage startups with technology and business Incubators from across Punjab. Here Startups expand their repository and connections while getting an opportunity to explore how multiple Incubators can support them for research, business and tech advisory, product and market validations, mentorship, funding, and opportunity to be co-incubated, and much more.
The PINE Matchmaking meetup saw participation from budding startups interacting with leading Incubators from the region like AIC ISB Association, Mohali, i-RISE, TBI at IISER, Mohali, ACIC RISE Association, Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran, STEP - Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana, STEP - Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala, GJCEI at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Punjab Biotechnology Incubator, Mohali and PCTE Incubator, PCTE, Ludhiana and i-Hub AWaDH at IIT Ropar.
