Chandigarh Police under the guidelines of BPR&D conducted 05 days workshop on Women Safety

Women & Child Support Unit of Chandigarh Police under the guidelines of BPR&D conducted 05 days workshop on Women Safety at Recruit Training Centre, Sec-26, Chandigarh w.e.f. 21.02.2022 to 25.02.2022. 35 Investigating Officers of different Police Stations attended this five days workshop. They were sensitized on

the topic of Forensic Medicine, Sexual Harassment, Domestic Violence, Gender Sensitization, Communication Skills while investigating the victim, Juvenile Justice system on Child Rights, Importance of Biological Evidence in Police Investigation, Guidelines/Schemes of State Legal Authority, Investigation procedure in Rape Cases, Online Crimes and Abuse on Social Networking Sites, Human Rights. All the topics have been covered by renowned faculty from different Departments. The objective of workshop was to enhance the skills of Investigating Officers and to increase the conviction rate. In the closing ceremony, Mrs. Sita Devi, DSP/W&CSU, UT, Chandigarh was the Chief Guest. She distributed certificates to 35 participants who were imparted training by the Faculty Members on different topics of investigation relating to crime against women. Insp. Poonam Dilawari, Chief Law Instructor and her staff were also present on the occasion. Insp. Parvesh Sharma gave vote of thanks.
