A former civil servant in the United Kingdom, Vikas Dhawan sheds light on his nostalgic exploration of India – a land of myriad cultures and experiences

Chandigarh, 22, January, 2022: Inspired by his love for India and deliberated by his varied childhood experiences in India, Vikas Dhawan launched his literary celebration of growing up titled ‘India India Feeling’ here today.
“This book is a light-hearted exploration of India. It unfolds some of my wonderful experiences and fond memories of childhood, of growing up, of the warmth of family and friendships...sketching a vibrant essence of the country when it had an old-fashioned charm,” shared Dhawan, a former civil servant in the United Kingdom.

About the Author: Vikas Dhawan, an ex-Civil Servant in the UK, grew up in India and has been living in England for the past two decades. He enjoys writing for leisure as well as in professional capacity, and has experience working in the education sector at the UK Civil Service and the University of Cambridge.

 He grew up in Punjab and Chandigarh. Part of his schooling was in GMSSS, Sector 35 Chandigarh and DAV College, Sector 10. His parents now live in Panchkula.

 Music and rhythm are an important part of his life. He enjoys percussion and singing, and admires Sufi and other poetry, folk music and classic Bollywood songs. He has a soft spot for antiques, clocks and steam trains. He can be found indulging in reading, playing tennis, cooking and walking.
