Chandigarh,Sept,22:In a major breakthrough Po & Summon staff of Chandigarh Police under the close supervision of Sh. Kuldeep Singh Chahal, IPS, W/SSP/UT, Chandigarh and Sh. Charanjit Singh Virk, DSP/Central a team headed by Insp. Satvinder Singh Incharge PO & Summon staff is able to arrest the Proclaimed Offender Gurpreet Singh Sidhu who was out of catch since last 3 years.

Arrest of Accused/Proclaimed Offender: - Under close supervision of Sh. Kuldeep Singh Chahal, IPS, W/SSP/UT, Chandigarh and Sh. Charanjit Singh Virk, DSP/Central a team headed by Insp. Satvinder Singh, Incharge PO & Summon staff has been constituted. In this case by collecting information from different sources (technical & human) and a day/night search was conducted. Later on, by all the sincere efforts, on the information of secret informer, the accused has been arrested from Ferozpur city (PB) on dated 21.09.2021.

Record & History of PO Gurpreet Singh Sidhu: - Gurpeet Singh Sidhu was declared Proclaimed Offender since last 3 years. More than 149 cases were registered against him. In which he was declared PO 96 cases, convicted in 12 cases and 41 cases pending against him. The detail of following cases against PO Gurpreet Singh Sidhu is as under:- 

FIR no.-37 Dated 02.07.2021 U/S 174 A IPC, Police Station-19 Chandigarh was registered against him

He was declared PO in 15 Execution Application & 12 Non Bailable of arrest (Total-27) by the Hon’ble court of State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, UT Chandigarh

He was declared PO in 79 Execution Application & 17 arrest warrant (Total -96) by the Hon’ble Court of District Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission-I UT, Chandigarh

He was also convicted in 12 Execution Application   execution pending by the Hon’ble court of District Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission –II, UT, Chandigarh.

Despite this he is also PO declared in 2 Execution Applications and 12 arrest warrant (Total-14) more executions pending by the Hon’ble court of State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Punjab sec-37 A Chandigarh.  

On other state from Punjab, Haryana & Rajasthan received warrants issued against PO Gurpreet Singh Sidhu.

        On 22.09.2021 the accused/Proclaimed Offender has been produced in the Hon’ble court of District court sec-43 Chandigarh, State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission Sec-19, UT Chandigarh, District Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission-I & II UT, Chandigarh and State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Punjab sec-37 A Chandigarh.
