Chandigarh:17.9.2021, Shri Dharam Pal, IAS, Worthy Adviser to the Administrator, UT Chandigarh has inaugurated the “Installation of Convex Mirror at Blind Spots” at Sukhna Lake turn, Sector 1, Chandigarh.
During this programme, Shri Nitin Kumar Yadav, IAS, W/Home Secretary, Shri Praveer Ranjan, IPS, DGP/Chandigarh, Dr. Vijay Namdeorao Zade, IAS, Finance Secretary, Smt Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner, MC, Mr. Debendra Dalai, IFS, Director Environment, Sh. Omvir Bishnoi, IPS, DIG/Chandigarh, Sh S. S. Gill, IAS, Secretary Education, Sh. Kuldeep Singh Chahal, IPS, SSP/Chandigarh, Ms. Manisha Choudhary, IPS, SSP/Traffic & Security, Sh. C.B. Ojha, Chief Engineer, Chandigarh representatives of ICICI Lombard i.e. Mr. Rajagopalan Ramaswamy, Vice President Legal, Mr. Ranjan Dash, Deputy Vice President Legal, Road Safety NGOs and other police officers were present.
ICICI Lombard GIC Ltd under its CSR initiative of Road Safety has provided 107 Convex Mirrors to Chandigarh Police for installation at 97 blind spots identified across the city. The wide angle vision of Convex Mirrors will help road users to see around blind corners and to avoid collision of vehicles. These mirrors will be installed in coordination with Municipal Corporation and Engineering Department.
